Will & Inheritance Planning for NRIs — Kuala Lumpur Edition

Speaking at NRI Nivesh's Seminar, Kuala Lumpur — Will & Inheritance for NRIs

We were pleased to bring our ongoing collaboration with NRI Nivesh to Malaysia, as our Partner, Mr. Bharat D Sarawgee, addressed the NRI community on July 26, 2025, at the prestigious Le Méridien, Kuala Lumpur — for an important and engaging session on Will & Inheritance planning for Non-Resident Indians.

About the Session

For NRIs settled across Southeast Asia, India remains a central part of their financial identity — through property, investments, family businesses, and generational wealth. Yet the legal and financial architecture needed to protect and transfer that wealth is one that far too many NRIs leave unaddressed.

A missing or poorly drafted Will, an unclear inheritance structure, or an unfamiliarity with Indian succession laws can expose families to years of legal uncertainty, unnecessary tax liabilities, and painful disputes — all of which are entirely avoidable with the right planning.

This session brought that conversation to the forefront — in a setting that encouraged open, honest, and practical discussion.

Mr. Sarawgee guided the audience through the full landscape of NRI succession planning with the sensitivity, precision, and real-world grounding that such a consequential subject demands.
